Hello, I’m Junyi Zhu
Senior Design Lead
Junyi is Senior Design Lead at IDEO Shanghai. She started her career as a qualitative researcher, which makes her a person asks “why” about everything. She has sound experience in infusing insights into design strategy to make the solution valuable and viable.
Before joining IDEO, in the recent 5 years, she poured herself into startups. She used to be a chief staff to CEO of a Chinese startup, and she was in charge of innovation projects, from product, service, and business models to organizational transformations. After that, she joined a tech company that is trying to improve the productivity of Freight Forwarding, which is a super complicated and low efficient domain to work at. She was the major researcher who worked on the product(design) strategies of each product domain in Asia.
She enjoys the process of reframing problems with simple, fresh and meaningful perspectives, particularly for complicated problems. I love to connect the dots to make good changes possible.
In her free time, she is a person who can not stop doing things. She either keeps moving physically or immerses herself in the thinking world.
